President, Keyrenter Napa
David Staley is the President of Keyrenter of Napa. In this role, David coordinates all aspects of property management, including leasing, tenant screening, maintenance, inspections and all other related duties. A big believer in investing for the future, David manages his client’s properties like they are his own and seeks tenants that will treat them the same. David is a qualified Real Estate Salesperson by the California Bureau of Real Estate and holds a B.A. from Christian Heritage College.
David is no stranger to property management having spent nine years as a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) landlord of his own townhouse in Napa which has taught him the importance of finding the right tenants and taking care of the property. Feel free to ask him about both the horror stories and good experiences and what he has learned from them. You’ll be both entertained and educated on the pitfalls to avoid how to succeed as an owner of investment property. Prior to starting his property management business, David spent twelve years as a middle school teacher and nine years as territory manager of a $1 million a year sales territory in Northern California. Having to manage a sales territory with diverse clients taught him the skills necessary to manage his time and priorities to produce positive results. His experience as an educator helps him to communicate and educate clients on the best way to achieve the goals that they have for their property.
David grew up in Concord, CA and attended college in the San Diego area. After marrying his wonderful wife Rena, he relocated to her hometown of Napa in 2005 where they raise their three children. He is involved in the local community through the many extracurricular activities of his children as well as being a member of the Parent Faculty Committee at their school. David’s family has deep roots in the Napa Valley where his father-in-law was involved in the agricultural development of the wine industry both as an agricultural loan officer and as a founding member of the Land Trust. David’s brother-in-law owns a small estate vineyard that produces a fine cabernet that is only available locally in select locations. David wants to see the Napa Valley remain the wonderful community it is as a great place to work and raise a family.
